We’ve finally reached the finale of this never-ending season! On this very special episode, Rebecca, 24, a client service account representative, is marrying Chris, also 24, a nuclear security officer (he pronounces it like President Bush – that is, “nookular”). The two live in Beachwood, New Jersey. They met in high school; they were introduced by their principal when Rebecca was in color guard and Chris was in the rifle squad. You know, rifles and 16-year-old boys seem like a bad combination. “I fell in love with Becky ... just over time, she grew on me,” Chris says. It wasn’t her girlish ways that charmed Chris, though – Rebecca is a tomboy through and through. “I really never wear makeup other than chapstick,” she says. “Since the time I was nine or ten, my hair has been cut to my ears.” The couple did a spit-shake (gross!) that she wouldn’t cut her hair until after the wedding. Since spit seals the deal, Rebecca now has long hair two years later (which she plans to cut immediately after the ceremony).

“Rebecca’s a bridezilla because she doesn’t take any s***. She’s a control freak; she rants and raves when she doesn’t get her way,” Chris says. Rebecca admits that she can be a bit ... difficult. “On the wedding day, I don’t want people in my face, I don’t want people nagging me,” she says. “If I don’t want you in the fricking room, get out of the room. Leave me be.”

With four days until their Irish-Scottish wedding, they head to the kilt shop for Chris’s final fitting. They have trouble finding the right location but finally make it there – but not before Rebecca gets angry about having to walk into a couple of different doors. As soon as Chris dons his kilt, they discover there’s been a minor miscommunication between the bride and groom. Chris has chosen a kilt with different colors from the ones Rebecca thought he was getting. “I thought we had gone over this quite a few times,” Rebecca says. “I would love to choke Chris right now. It just makes me mad. I just asked him to do one thing.” He stands there while she berates him. “She did get a little bridezilla on me; s*** hit the fan from there,” Chris says. Rebecca has on a really mean face as she stares her groom down. Fortunately, the shopkeeper runs interference and points out that everything is still going to match fine. Rebecca says she’s upset that Chris didn’t just get the one he was supposed to. “That’s why you’re being a mad gonzilla bride?” the adorable elderly shopkeeper woman asks.

Now we’re back to Piedmont, South Carolina, where 22-year-old data control analyst Cari is marrying Brian, a volunteer firefighter. “When I first met Brian, I thought he had the most beautiful eyes I’d ever seen. I thought he was just a good country boy,” Cari says. After a two-year courtship, the two will be getting married at a bed and breakfast, with the theme being “Southern belle country chic.” Brian tells us, “The reason she’s a bridezilla is if she doesn’t get her way, she becomes a brat.”

Last episode, Cari’s pastor dropped out with little time left; Cari had her sister’s nerves in knots over a bouquet; and her mother told the bride it wasn’t all about her all the time. “If somebody does something to ruin my wedding, I will probably start crying and stomp out,” Cari says. “Let’s face it – the bride is the star of the show.”

With four days until the wedding, Cari’s mom has dropped everything to chauffeur the bride to her final fitting. Mom was also in charge of picking out the dinnerware, but much to Cari’s chagrin, she selected plastic, to save some cash. “People really don’t care, okay?” her mom says. Cari counters with, “That’s not wedding, that’s barbecue party.” Cari’s mom decides to move on to more pressing matters, like the fact that Cari still has no pastor to officiate the ceremony.
