Show Whose Wedding Is It Anyway? | Season 8 | Episode 5 | Aired November 11, 2008

Jenny Orsini has been a planner for sixteen years – that’s over 400 weddings. The secret to her success is that “the bride is always right.” But in this episode, she’ll be dealing with not one, but two brides. That’s right, it’s Jenny’s first lesbian wedding, as well as the first lesbian wedding on the show. Adding to the list of firsts, this will also be the first wedding Jenny has planned on air while being pregnant. The New Jersey planner is three months pregnant in this episode and is feeling every symptom of her condition.

Regina Garace and Yezenia Feliciano met at a friend’s birthday party. Yezenia boldly approached Regina and said, “You’re going to be my girlfriend!” Five months into the relationship, Yezenia was stricken with a mysterious illness. While she was sick in bed, Regina was a constant at her side; a few weeks later, she moved in. Misfortune struck Yezenia again when her ex-husband and father of her three children died suddenly. Regina stepped in and helped glue the family together. Regina proposed a month later on a trip to Florida. While in St. Petersburg together, Regina turned to Yezenia and said, “You know, we’re going to get married one day.” Yezenia agreed and asked for a ring.

Time to meet the other couple in this episode: Stella Inserra was hired by a last-minute bride whose groom will be out of town until the rehearsal dinner. This situation may seem stressful to anyone else, but for Stella, it’s just another day on the job. Vanessa Warrick and Marcos Lindley have attended the same church for years. But in a church with 30,000 in attendance, it was hard to notice each other. So the two found each other online. Their first date was a Broadway play; they’ve been together ever since. Both have demanding travel schedules, so their second date was a shared business trip to Washington D.C. Hmmm, business and pleasure. What happened next was perhaps divine intervention. A snowstorm caused the couple to have to alter their travel plans. While spending the night in the train station, the two planned out their year together and realized things were serious.

Four months later, Marcos picked Vanessa up after a Phoenix red-eye. When they got out of the car, Marcos proposed. With a $40,000 budget and a best friend named Marci, Vanessa began coordinating the wedding. Marci, while close to the bride, is “slightly abrasive,” according to the groom. Marcos realizes that this wedding is important and because they didn’t want a long engagement, he knew he needed to invest in a planner who could get the job done quickly and efficiently. Enter Stella Inserra, booked a week before the big day. Wow.

Back over to our double-bride affair – Yezenia helped her sister plan a wedding, but for herself she knew she needed help. The first planner she hired was no Jenny Orsini. That planner was quickly given the boot. Two months prior to the wedding, Yezenia found Jenny. The wedding’s theme is going to be Latin flavor meets bling. The first part of the planning process is deciding on décor that meets the theme. Turquoise and crystal centerpieces make the cut, as Jenny is quickly proving she was the right choice for planner. But when Jenny asks for other things she can do to help, she is told to find ... a pig. Yezenia insists on roast pork at the wedding, and so Jenny promises to find a pig.
