Looks like Tanesha’s got the trophy wife thing down pat: she quits her job to better plan her wedding. She may have the insecurity that probably comes with being a TW, too, as she’s not sure that DeWayne will even attend the wedding. We also meet Megan, and she’s about as bossy as they come.

Certain show themes are becoming apparent already: at least one half of the couple has a religious family, and family support is mutually lacking or split 50/50. Case in point – Jacob’s religious mom welcomes Chantel to the family fold, but Chantel’s mom is less than happy to see Chantel wed at 19.

Byron and Ashley are getting married, despite their families’ objections that Ashley is not black and Byron is not Mexican, respectively. Those kinds of concerns could be a serious obstacle to getting the support a young couple needs starting out. So where better to air all these issues than on MTV?
